Under the Charitable Collections (Transitional Provisions) Order 1974 a licence is required by promoters of charitable collections in a street or public place. In some areas, Town/Parish Councils are responsible for issuing these licences. North Norfolk District Council are responsible for issuing licences to the following parishes:

  • Cromer
  • Holt
  • Hoveton
  • Mundesley
  • Runton (East & West)
  • Sheringham
  • Stalham
  • Wells-Next-The-Sea

Under the EU Services Directive there is no restriction to how many charities can collect in one town/parish on any given day.

The timescale for determining this application is 7 days from the receipt of an acceptable and complete application by this Authority.
