This Saturday (April 30) the Horning Boat Show will return for its sixth year. This event supports the community, local groups and charities. This year one of the chosen worthy causes the boat show will support is the NHS Charities.

The boat show is located in two locations within the village of Horning, with an upper exhibition area with exhibitors and food stands and a riverside exhibition area on the waterfront.

Between 10am and 4pm visitors will be able to see a display of classic cars and luxury motor cruisers, along with charity stalls from the RNLI Water Safety Team, the HM Coastguard and Kayla’s Campaign. In addition to these charity stalls, there will also be stalls with items available to purchase and a Boat Show Auction raising money for charity.

The Horning Sailing Club will also be putting on a discover sailing open day for your chance to get out on the water.

Entry is free to this event which is funded via donations and free parking is available at BeWilderwood.

There is a shuttle bus to and from the exhibition areas, which costs £1 per adult and 50p per child (under 12) each way (cash only).

This is a popular event which supports local and national charities as well as providing a great day out for the whole family.

Cllr. Adam Varley, local councillor said:

“The Horning Boat Show is a fantastic family day out. This event is a perfect opportunity to try out sailing and see beautiful boats and vintage cars and much more. Horning is an idyllic village with many lovely shops.

Money generated from this event goes to charities and to local community groups. I would like to say thank you, once again, to the boat show committee for all the work they do.”
