Want to hold a Jubilee street party? Here’s what you need to know

On 6 February this year Her Majesty the Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms, and the Commonwealth.

The United Kingdom has a great tradition of communities coming together to celebrate national events. Thousands of people across the country took part in street parties for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012 and the Queens 90th Birthday in 2016.

Across Norfolk, there will be events and initiatives taking place throughout the year, with a four-day bank holiday weekend spanning Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 June.

Many residents may want to throw their own street party to celebrate.
