The Council is pleased to be working with Visit North Norfolk (VNN), our local Destination Management Organisation (DMO), to support and promote North Norfolk’s visitor economy.
As part of the Council’s ongoing Coronavirus support for business, we are delighted introduce the Visit North Norfolk Membership scheme.
Utilising funding from the COVID Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) fund and working with VNN, we are able to offer all business operating in the hospitality, leisure and accommodation industry a years' free membership to Visit North Norfolk (worth £150).
North Norfolk enjoys a fantastic tourism and leisure offering, with stunning Blue Flag beaches, the unique Deep History Coast, breath-taking countryside, and historic market towns. It is home to countless businesses offering incredible visitor experiences and services, from retail and attractions, to transport and accommodations.
This membership will give businesses access to a whole host of support and promotional opportunities, including listing and booking functionality on the VNN website, which has recently been re-launched with a new look and interactive feel. It will also provide access to marketing resources and networking events, as well as opportunities to be included in national press editorial features and in the marketing videos.
Cllr Richard Kershaw, NNDC’s Portfolio Holder for Sustainable Growth, commented: “Visit North Norfolk is a valued long-standing partner to the Council, promoting the area as a holiday destination all year round and supporting north Norfolk tourism businesses by helping them to achieve a higher profile than they might on their own.
“There is nothing to lose and much to be gained from taking up this offer, do not miss this chance to join in with the growth of the Visitor Sector in North Norfolk.”
Andrew Hird, Chair of Visit North Norfolk: “Visit North Norfolk is the official visitor guide for the area and we are the only body actively promoting north Norfolk as a holiday destination through our year-round marketing campaigns. Businesses are at the heart of what we do and all our activity is about driving visitors to the website where they can plan their holidays.
“After the last couple of challenging years, the support we have given has been invaluable to our members. So, we are grateful for the opportunity to extend this out to all businesses and look forward to welcoming them to a friendly and helpful network where they can experience the real value of belonging to their local DMO.”
VNN has also been a key support for businesses throughout the pandemic, ensuring they had the most relevant and up to date Government advice and information.
This offer is part of ongoing supporting from the Council to businesses affected by Coronavirus, such as our Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant and Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Additional Restrictions Grant.
