Maintenance work begins on the Mundesley shelter and beach huts
Date published: 19th May 2022
This week maintenance work has started in Mundesley on the shelter in the seafront gardens and on the beach huts owned and operated by the Council located on the promenade.
These works are part of a longstanding and ongoing program of repair and maintenance works that are driven by the condition of the structures.
Wherever possible they are timetabled to avoid the peak visitor seasons and are undertaken by the Council’s small in-house Property Services team.
During the three-week closure period the following work will be completed:
- Painting of the shelter
- Painting of the 7 beach huts on the promenade owned and let out by NNDC
The maintenance work is expected to take up to three weeks to complete, weather permitting.
Cllr Wendy Fredericks, local councillor said:
“I am really pleased to see NNDC continuing to improve the seafront gardens for our residents and visitors to enjoy.”
