Cllr. Liz Withington, portfolio holder for Community, Leisure and Outreach, said:
“This is the second North Norfolk Walking Festival and I am pleased to see the event growing with activities for all ages and abilities. Festivals such as this are important in encouraging people to be active and connect with our wonderful North Norfolk landscapes.
“However, they not only benefit our health and well-being but also support our local economy by bringing new visitors to the area”.
Anita Lusher, North Norfolk Walking Festival, said:
“I’m pleased that the North Norfolk Walking Festival is back for its second year.
“As a keen walker from an early age, my first memory of connecting with nature and recognising the seasonal changes was on rambles through Sheringham Woods with my mum.
“Fast forward forty years and I now offer the same opportunity to my clients as structured fitness walks for all ages and fitness levels. Through North Norfolk Outdoor Fitness, I regularly introduce clients to unfamiliar trails that weave their way through the diverse North Norfolk landscape. An experience I’m offering to Festival walkers this September”.
