Briston Councillor to step down for health reasons

North Norfolk District Council Councillor Emma Coleman has announced she will be stepping down as councillor for the Briston Ward for health reasons.
Cllr Coleman has made the following statement:
"Sadly I have recently been diagnosed with a serious illness, the prognosis for which is very uncertain.
"I am so grateful to everyone who voted for me to be their representative and I am so sad not to able to fulfil the role any further.
"I love this area and the people so much and I wish for a new Councillor to be chosen who will take on the role wholeheartedly.
"I would like to thank Democratic Services for their kindness and help and the staff at North Norfolk District Council who work so brilliantly to provide a multitude of services to the public."
A Notice of Election will be posted on Thursday November 2 and if contested, a by-election will be held on Thursday December 7.
