Report graffiti
Report an instance of graffiti
Graffiti is words or drawings written, painted, sprayed or scratched onto the surface of any property or structure.
We are responsible for removing graffiti from:
- public buildings
- benches
- bins
- monuments
- council-owned property
You can report graffiti using our online form.
Before you use this form
If the graffiti is on private property
If the graffiti is on private property, you’ll need to report it to the property owner.
If the graffiti is on:
Street furniture, such as:
- telephone boxes
- bus shelters
- telecommunication boxes
Or on property belonging to:
- statutory undertakers
- education institutions
Then we will forward your report to the relevant organisation responsible for their assets and property.
If no action is taken within a reasonable time, we have powers to require the removal of the graffiti by serving a Defacement Removal Notice.
