Street collections
Under the Charitable Collections (Transitional Provisions) Order 1974, a licence is required by promoters of charitable collections in a street or public place. In some areas, town and parish councils are responsible for issuing these licences. North Norfolk District Council is responsible for issuing licences to the following parishes:
- Cromer
- Holt
- Hoveton
- Mundesley
- Runton (East and West)
- Sheringham
- Stalham
- Wells-Next-The-Sea
Under the EU Services Directive, there is no restriction on the number of charities that can collect in a town or parish on any given day.
The timescale for determining this application is 7 days from the receipt of an acceptable and complete application by this Authority.
For a valid application, we require all of the following forms and documentation in order for the application to be processed. Incomplete applications will be returned.
