Annual monitoring reports

To enable the Council to assess whether the local plan is performing effectively and its objectives are being met, an annual monitoring report (AMR) will be produced based on a set of key indicative indicators aligned to the plan's aims and objectives. The monitoring report will be as comprehensive as possible, providing factual evidence. It will also show population change, changes in legislation, and other factors that impact the delivery of the plan.

Five year supply of housing land

To try to maintain the delivery of new homes, national policy in England requires local councils to supply deliverable sites, meaning sites with a high likelihood of housing being built in any given period. As with all local councils, we hold information on all housing sites that have been approved. These sites are monitored against developer projections, and our data is updated to reflect the number of houses built in the district. The number of houses any council aims to have built in its area is based on several criteria set by central government.

The five-year housing land supply is a trajectory that seeks to identify the sites and number of houses expected to be delivered (built) each year over five years.

Policy HOU1 in the local plan details the supply of homes we will aim to deliver from 2016 to 2036.
