How to apply for a new address for a new property or properties.
Due to Royal Mail systems upgrade there are delays in processing some applications
If you are developing a new property or properties, it is important to register the address as soon as building work starts. This will make sure that the properties will have an allocated address before residents move in and prevent problems arranging refuse collection, delivery of items or changing utilities details.
Creating postal addresses for properties
Once an address has been agreed and designated, it is passed to Royal Mail to have a postcode assigned. The address is held on a file until we are informed that the property has been completed or converted, at which point the address is released in full to utility and other companies.
It can take several months for sat navs, Google, Bing and other search engines or companies to show new addresses in their systems and we have no control over this.

Before making payment please obtain a Street Naming and Numbering Reference
These charges are not subject to VAT. Where the charge for the numbering of plots exceeds £5000, a maximum of £5000 is payable for this element. Street naming is additional to this charge.
