Make a Freedom of Information (FOI) request

The Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 2000 gives you the right to request information held by the Council.

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 is intended to promote a culture of openness and accountability amongst public sector bodies including North Norfolk District Council by providing people with rights of access to information held by them.

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 give you the right to request information held by the Council that is not publicly available elsewhere. They do not provide the right of access to personal information about yourself; this is covered under the Data Protection Act 1998.

Before making a request for information you should first have a look at our Publication Scheme.  This tells you what information we already publish, where you can find it, who to contact and whether you can have it free of charge. Non-Domestic Business Rates data

All the NNDR data we can supply is available on our website. Any FOI requests submitted requesting this data will be rejected under section 21 (Information accessible to applicant by other means) of the Freedom Of Information Act 2000.
